Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa love to talk about their children on the air of Live With Kelly and Mark, but it’s rare to see them comment about their family online. Well, Mark just gave a shout out to his daughter Lola, and it had to do with something she’s particularly passionate about.
In a video posted on Lola’s Instagram on May 21, folks saw her sing a cover of Sabrina Carpenter’s hit single, “Espresso.” As she appeared bare-faced and wearing a light blue knitted sweater, she sang a slowed down, acoustic version of the song for the camera, while also commenting how her followers should listen to her latest single “Roles.”
“In workout lateeee, cause I’m a singerrrr @sabrinacarpenter best song ever ,” she wrote in the caption. “Also please go stream my new single link in bio:).”
Shortly after Lola shared the clip on social media, Mark took notice and replied in the comments.
“,” he simply wrote in support of his daughter’s music.
Mark wasn’t the only one excited by Lola’s artistic take on the song. Many were shocked by her vocal talent, leading to an influx of responses.
“Where in the American Idol is Ryan Seacrest? You need an album deal!!! ,” one person wrote. “You have a very unique voice and it is lovely!” another exclaimed. “Wow you have the voice of an angel!! Please make an album. ,” a different follower added.
While Lola’s new cover caught the attention of her dad, this isn’t the only time her parents commented on her music. Back in July 2023, Kelly posted an Instagram video proudly promoting and celebrating Lola’s single “Divine Timing.”
Now, if Lola could sing a live performance on Live With Kelly and Mark, that would be incredible!
