Miley Cyrus’ brother slams ‘lame’ Katy Perry, says she copied his sister’s career

Following the “Dark Horse” singer’s controversial trip to space, the Metro Station artist called her “lame as f–k” for allegedly copying his sister Miley Cyrus’ career.

“I first knew Katy Perry and her team were lame as f–k when her career was first dying,” he started in a lengthy rant posted to Instagram Friday.

“And they were like, ‘Hm, what can we do? Well, what worked for Miley? She cut her hair off and it broke the internet and everyone freaked out and she bleached it blond. We should do that with you, Katy,’” he continued.

Miley cut her hair into a pixie cut in 2012, while Perry debuted a similar hairstyle in 2017.

Trace also pointed out that Perry’s team attempted to give her music more of a “hip-hop” sound by pairing her with Migos on her song “Bon Appétit” — years after Miley did the same by working with Mike WiLL Made-It, Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J on her “Bangerz” album in 2013.

“‘You’re now going to do the same stuff that Miley did and blow up,’” Trace went on, parodying a an alleged conversation between Perry and her team. “Guess what? It didn’t f–king work — and then they just tried some EDM song or some s–t because EDM’s hot.”

“Didn’t f–king work, and now they’re going to send your ass to space,” he continued. “Didn’t f–king work! It’s not working. It’s backfiring.”

reached out to both singers’ reps, but did not get immediate responses.

Trace’s rant comes after Perry became the subject of online criticism for taking part in Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s historic all-female Blue Origin space flight.

Since their Monday trip, the singer has fielded comments from brands and celebs alike. Earlier this week, she even received a savage trolling from Martha Stewart.

Stewart, 83, took to social media and posted a 2007 video of herself aboard a Boeing 727 called G-Force One. In the clip, the lifestyle guru explained that she “experienced what astronauts feel when they reach zero gravity.”

“Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind?” she wrote over the clip, taking a jab at the opening lyrics of Perry’s 2010 hit “Firework.”

Stewart continued her shade in the caption, adding: “In case you spaced out in 2007, Martha has always been ahead of her time.”
