In a world that moves fast and often leaves little time for reflection, sometimes the only remedy for the soul is to return to where it all began—nature. This week, I’ve found myself immersed in the great outdoors, reconnecting with the beauty and tranquility of our planet. It’s been a chance to say hello to Mother Earth once again, to breathe in her air, feel the ground beneath my feet, and bask in the quiet majesty that only nature can provide.

But this isn’t just about appreciating the scenery—it’s about the healing power that nature has always offered, one that can restore balance and bring clarity when life feels overwhelming.
A Sacred Moment of Reflection
As I stand here, surrounded by the vastness of the earth, I find myself reflecting on the journey that brought me here. For those who have read my memoir, Saving Five, you might recognize this place, this sacred spot where the earth feels so alive and full of possibility. It’s a place I’ve returned to time and time again, a reminder of where I’ve been and where I am heading.
In Saving Five, I shared deeply personal moments of my life and the paths I’ve walked—some difficult, some joyous, but all part of the same story. And as I find myself here in nature’s embrace, I can’t help but think back to the challenges and triumphs that shaped who I am today.
The Power of Nature’s Majesty
Standing here, I’m reminded of the majesty of the world from above, a perspective that’s humbling and awe-inspiring. There’s something profoundly powerful about seeing the world from a distance, where everything that once seemed urgent or chaotic suddenly falls into perspective. The vast forests, towering mountains, and endless oceans remind me of something essential: Nature is eternal, and so is our connection to it.
This week, I was lucky enough to witness nature’s beauty not only from the ground but also from the sky—seeing the earth in a way that few get to experience. It’s a perspective that fills you with reverence and a deep sense of gratitude for everything the world provides. We often forget just how small we are in the grand scheme of things. But in that smallness lies the potential for true healing, understanding, and growth.
A Continuing Journey
As I continue on this journey, I realize how much there is still to learn and how much more I need to grow. Nature offers its lessons quietly but insistently, giving us space to reflect, to process, and to heal. And for me, it’s a reminder that no matter where I go or what challenges I face, Mother Earth is always here—waiting, supporting, and reminding me of the strength that lies within.
In the days ahead, I will carry this peace with me, holding it close as I navigate the rest of my journey. Just as I’ve come to understand through my memoir, this healing journey is one that continues, and nature will always be there to guide me along the way.
