Pete Davidson’s new look after “burning off” almost 200 tattoos.

Pete Davidson has shared that he’s undergoing a process to remove 200 of his “dumbest tattoos,” which include tributes to his well-known ex-girlfriends, a portrait of Hilary Clinton, and a character from Spongebob Squarepants.

Recently, the comedian unveiled his new look, embracing his role as the “Official Boyfriend” to “beautiful and talented women everywhere.”

Known for his vast array of tattoos, Pete has invested over $200,000 and several years into erasing these memories from his skin. While he appreciates his tattoos, the 31-year-old Saturday Night Live star acknowledged that they have become a burden as his acting career has grown. His journey of tattoo removal signifies a transformation in his public persona, shifting from a rebellious, inked comedian to a more polished Hollywood actor.

“I honestly never thought that I would get an opportunity to act, and I love it a lot,” Davidson shared during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. He explained that his Hollywood career motivated him to remove most of his tattoos, noting, “It takes like three hours – you have to get there like three hours earlier – to cover all your tattoos. For some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much.”

‘Dumbest tattoos’

Davidson’s tattoo journey started in his teenage years, and over the years, his skin has transformed into a canvas showcasing more than 200 pieces of art.

As reported by People, his body is adorned with tributes to his father, a firefighter who lost his life on 9/11, as well as portraits of Hilary Clinton and the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. He also has fun tattoos like DoodleBob from SpongeBob and a New York State driver’s license.

Additionally, his ink includes references to Harry Potter, Saturday Night Live, and even nods to his ex-girlfriends, such as Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande.

“I made a lot of those choices before rehab, so I have some pretty silly tattoos,” the Bodies Bodies Bodies star shared with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show. “I’ve got a bunch of cartoon characters smoking blunts, like a Muppet and the Tootsie Pop owl.”

He shares that the journey isn’t straightforward, requiring at least seven appointments for each tattoo.

“If it’s just black and white, it’s somewhat simpler,” the star from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts mentioned. “But when it comes to color tattoos, it can take ages.”

While chatting with Fallon about the “terrible” laser removal process, he explained, “They have to burn off a layer of your skin, and then it needs to heal for about six to eight weeks, during which you must avoid sunlight. After that, you have to go through it like 12 more times.”

“Seriously consider that Game of Thrones tattoo you’ve been contemplating,” he joked with the audience, adding that the pain of laser removal is much worse than actually getting a tattoo.

‘Official Boyfriend’

The star of King of Staten Island recently made a splash in a photo shoot, proudly taking on the role of “Official Boyfriend” for a campaign with Reformation, a brand known for its sustainable fashion.

In a delightful three-minute video, Davidson is portrayed as the ultimate supportive partner, patiently waiting outside the fitting room while women try on various outfits.

While the campaign itself is endearing, it’s the stunning photos featured on Reformation’s website that have really captured everyone’s attention.

In these striking images, the SNL alum is seen either topless or in very little clothing, showcasing what appears to be a nearly ink-free torso.

This marks a significant change for Davidson, who mentioned he’s “trying to be an adult.” Based on his laid-back and self-assured poses in the latest campaign, it appears he’s really enjoying his new appearance.

Pete Davidson’s journey of removing tattoos goes beyond just a visual update; it symbolizes his developing career and personal evolution. Although fans might miss his iconic tattooed style, he still embodies the same comedian we all know and love.
